On June 19, 2025, global automation giant Siemens announced that its Indian energy business has been successfully listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India under the name of "Siemens Energy India Limited".

This move marks the completion of the spin-off and listing of Siemens India’s energy business . Siemens Energy India Ltd. is now an independent listed company, which greatly simplifies and strengthens Siemens’ corporate structure in the strategic market of India. The successful spin-off and listing of Siemens Energy India Ltd. has resulted in the formation of two strong independent companies, Siemens India Ltd. and Siemens Energy India Ltd. , which will each focus on their core businesses, strategic planning and capital allocation.

This development stems from the agreement reached between Siemens AG and Siemens Energy AG in November 2023 to accelerate the separation of the business activities of Siemens India. Subject to the relevant regulatory approvals, Siemens Energy AG will eventually acquire a controlling stake in Siemens Energy India Limited.

Currently, Siemens AG holds 69% of the shares in Siemens Energy India Ltd., Siemens Energy AG holds 6% , and the remaining shares are free float shares - this is consistent with the existing shareholding structure of Siemens India Ltd.
