Recently, Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Group signed a general contracting contract for the Chittagong Phase 2 Package 1 substation project with the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

This project is a national-level project in Bangladesh's power development plan. Its main contents include the construction, upgrading and expansion of 16 substations . It is of great significance to enhance the stability of power supply in the Chittagong region, an important port city in Bangladesh, and promote local social and economic development.

In recent years, Shanghai Electric has continuously undertaken general contracting projects in the power sector in Bangladesh, and its good performance and achievements have been recognized by the Bangladesh Power Development Authority.
