The first batch of inverter-boost integrated units for the Biskara photovoltaic project in Algeria has been successfully installed

Recently, the 220MW photovoltaic project in Biskara, Algeria has made important progress. The first batch of 12 inverter-boosting integrated units have been successfully delivered to the project site, providing a key guarantee for achieving the grid-connected power generation goal.

As a key project in Algeria's energy transition, the project requires a total of 23 inverter-boosting units. If a photovoltaic project is compared to the human body, the inverter-boosting unit is the heart. In a photovoltaic project, the inverter-boosting unit converts the low-voltage direct current (DC) generated by photovoltaic panels into high-voltage alternating current (AC), which is then transmitted through the grid to various power consumption locations. Much like the heart powers blood circulation in the human body, the inverter-boosting unit provides critical conversion and voltage-boosting functions for the transmission and distribution of photovoltaic power, ensuring efficient and stable delivery of electricity to where it is needed. The 12 units that arrived this time have been installed. The on-site team is actively carrying out acceptance and installation preparations to ensure the efficient commissioning of the equipment. The inverter-boosting unit is the core equipment of a photovoltaic power station. It integrates the functions of an inverter and a step-up transformer, directly converting the DC power generated by the photovoltaic array into high-voltage AC power that meets grid requirements. This reduces the number of equipment and floor space, lowering both construction and operation and maintenance costs, while improving power generation efficiency, ensuring power quality, and enabling intelligent management. Its stable operation is crucial to improving power generation efficiency.

Faced with international logistics and deadline pressures, the project team optimized transportation plans and strengthened on-site collaboration to ensure the timely arrival of key equipment. The remaining 11 pieces of equipment have also arrived safely at the port and are currently undergoing customs clearance. The project will continue to advance construction to high standards, ensuring the power generation target is achieved on schedule, contributing Chinese technology and speed to Algeria's renewable energy development.
