Our station reported that Fluence, a world-leading energy storage technology and service provider, has partnered with ACE Engineering to officially put into operation a new automated battery energy storage manufacturing plant in Bac Giang Province, Vietnam.

The facility utilizes state-of-the-art, fully automated production processes, with a designed annual production capacity of 35 GWh. It will primarily produce Fluence's latest generation Gridstack Pro and Smartstack grid-scale energy storage systems. This significant move will significantly enhance Fluence's global production capabilities to meet the growing market demand for battery energy storage solutions.

It is reported that the annual output of the plant can meet the deployment needs of approximately 8.75 GW of 4-hour continuous discharge energy storage systems, which is of great significance to stabilizing the regional power grid and promoting the consumption of renewable energy.

The Gridstack Pro system, which has been commissioned, is Fluence's flagship large-scale energy storage solution for utilities and independent power producers. It has obtained stringent international safety certifications, including UL9540, and is particularly suitable for areas with limited transmission network capacity. The Smartstack product, designed for industrial and commercial applications, features a compact design and integrated intelligent energy management.

In recent years, Southeast Asia has become a hotspot for global new energy industry development. In addition to Fluence, several international energy companies have announced expansions of energy storage manufacturing capacity in the region. This trend aligns with the global shift toward green, low-carbon energy and reflects the region's growing importance in the global green energy industry chain.

At the same time, the Indonesian government has recently launched a large-scale solar energy and energy storage construction plan, which is expected to further boost demand for energy storage products in the region and bring new development opportunities to the global new energy industry.
